Low Medium High
Code Meaning Severity Common Symptom
CLICK-NO-IGN Clicking but no flame Medium Turning the burner knob to the light position produces a clear, rapid clicking sound from the ignition module, but the burner never catches and no flame is visible. View F1 Ignition module fault High The rangetop control panel displays F1 and no ignition spark is produced when any burner knob is turned to the light position — the defining indicator of an ignition module fault. View F3 Flame supervision failure High The burner lights normally and burns for 2–10 seconds, then the gas valve closes and the display shows F3, indicating the flame sensor did not confirm a stable signal. View GAS-SMELL Gas odor near unit High Natural gas and propane are odorized with mercaptan, producing a distinct sulfur or rotten-egg smell. Any detection of this odor near the rangetop must be treated as a gas leak until proven otherwise. View LOW-FLAME Weak burner output Medium At maximum knob setting the burner flame is visibly lower than expected — typically less than half the height of a properly functioning burner on the same rangetop. View NO-IGN Burner won't ignite Medium Turning the burner knob to the light position produces clicking from the igniter but the burner never ignites, and after several seconds the control board stops the sequence and shows NO-IGN. View PF Power failure detected Low The control panel shows PF immediately when power returns after an outage or breaker trip — the most common and expected presentation of this code. View UNEVEN Uneven burner flame Medium The burner ring flame is visibly higher on one arc and lower or absent on the opposite side, confirming uneven gas distribution across the burner cap ports. View YELLOW-FL Yellow flame color Medium The normally blue cone flame is replaced by a tall, flickering yellow or orange flame across all or part of the burner ring — the most reliable observable indicator of combustion problems.
