DCS Professional Gas Range Delayed Ignition Recall 2025

This notice covers dcs gas range recall 2025. Read the full advisory below for affected models, safety actions, and next steps.

DCS professional gas range delayed ignition recall affects Fisher & Paykel RGV3-series free-standing ranges sold under the DCS brand between June 2025 and March 2026. This is an official U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) confirmed recall — if you own one of these ranges, stop using the oven immediately and contact Fisher & Paykel for a free in-home repair.

What Is Being Recalled?

Fisher & Paykel is recalling free-standing professional gas ranges in the RGV3 series, sold in 30-inch, 36-inch, and 48-inch widths in stainless steel. These ranges were sold at specialty kitchen appliance retailers and online for $6,200 to $14,000 during the period of June 2025 through March 2026.

Affected serial number prefixes: EEV, ERV, EAV, EYV, EUV, ELV, or RFV. The serial number label is located on the inside of the oven door frame or on the back of the unit.

What Is the Hazard?

The oven ignitor can experience a delay in ignition, allowing gas to accumulate inside the oven cavity before combustion occurs. When the gas finally ignites, the resulting combustion can force the oven door open suddenly, creating a burn hazard to anyone standing nearby. Fisher & Paykel received 18 reports of delayed ignition events, including 1 report of a minor burn injury.

What To Do — Step-by-Step

  1. Stop using the oven immediately. Do not attempt to bake, broil, or use any oven function until the repair has been completed. Cooktop burners are not affected and may continue to be used normally.
  2. Locate your serial number. Open the oven door and check the label on the door frame, or check the back of the unit. Confirm the serial number starts with EEV, ERV, EAV, EYV, EUV, ELV, or RFV.
  3. Contact Fisher & Paykel at 866-936-7327 to schedule a free professional in-home repair of the oven ignitor at no cost to you.
  4. Do not attempt DIY repair. This recall requires a professional in-home service technician. Improper ignitor installation creates additional hazards.
  5. Keep children and pets away from the oven area until service has been completed and confirmed.
